The Collection

Welcome to The Kinsey African American Art & History Collection: celebrating African American achievement and contribution from 1595-present, and striving to dispel the “myth of absence” through authentic artifacts and fine art that helps to fill in the blanks of American history . 

The Exhibition

With education and impact as goals, the award winning Kinsey African American Art and History Collection has been on museum tour since 2007, and has been seen by over 20 million visitors across the country and abroad.

The Foundation

The Bernard and Shirley Kinsey Foundation for Art and Education assists educational/cultural institutions with educating underserved youth and increasing public awareness about African American history and ancestry.
