In July, Bernard Kinsey and son Khalil, visited Beijing and Shanghai, China as part of a cultural exchange initiative that lead 31 students from Crenshaw High School on a life changing journey founded by the Los Angeles Urban League. The students interacted with their counterparts at the affiliated high school of Remnin University and delivered presentations based on The Kinsey Collection about African American history and culture. During the visit, Bernard Kinsey addressed students and faculty of the university as part of their "Master Lecture" series. In addition to the cultural exchange, the group toured the international offices of the Crenshaw 2 China program sponsors, UPS, Starbucks and Neilsen, as well as visited the Great Wall, Tianamen Square and the Forbidden City.
