On August 6th, 2011, Bernard Kinsey was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from Pepperdine University's Graziadio school of business and management. After delivering his address, the University's President, Andrew K. Benton said that it was only the second time he had seen a speaker receive a standing ovation in his 20 years in office.
